About Us
Who We Are
The Women & Politics Society at King’s College London (KCL) is a non-partisan, student-led community within the King’s College London Students’ Union (KCLSU). Since our foundation, we have worked to amplify women’s voices in politics and public life, creating an inclusive space for learning, debate, and leadership development.
We welcome all King’s students and allies, regardless of gender identity, to join us in building confidence, skills, and networks that empower the next generation of changemakers.

Our Growth & Achievements
This year has been record-breaking: we’ve grown our membership nearly tenfold, we’re hosting more than seventy events, launched a podcast, expanded our magazine, and led some of the largest inter-society and inter-university collaborations in the UK.
At a time when women remain underrepresented in politics worldwide, our society equips students with the skills, confidence, and networks to challenge the status quo.
We aim to turn discussion into action and inspire a new generation of leaders who will shape a more inclusive political landscape.

25+ events annually, including panels, workshops, and social gatherings.
The Clandestine magazine: now in its 4th edition, featuring over 100 student contributions across themes such as democracy, intersectionality, and change.
HER SEAT AT THE TABLE PODCAST: this year we’re launching the first season of our new podcast focused on highlighting women’s stories, profiles and role in the political scene.
Collaborations with other KCL societies and external organisations (e.g., Girls Who Talk Politics, the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership).
